WE Transport is very proud to have drivers like Jeanette Herman, who was featured in a Newsday article last week going above and beyond to keep her bus extra clean and safe for her kids.
Herman was spotted in her driveway by Newsday writer Lane Filler when he was out for his morning walk this past Tuesday. She was scrubbing the interior of her bus in preparation for a pickup of a student with special needs in West Islip. Tuesday’s morning run was Herman’s first route since March.
In the Newsday article, Herman told Filler:
“I’ve always taken keeping the interior of the bus clean seriously, that’s the responsibility of the driver and the aide… But now it’s even more important to do it,” Herman said. “I just imagine my grandchildren, and I know how I’d want it to be for them.”
Filler concluded his article with:
“Jeanette Herman is going the extra mile to protect the kids she transports and cares for, and thus keep their families, safe. We owe her an equal effort, to keep her and her family safe, too.”
The entire WE Transport family is very proud of Jeanette’s dedication to the safety and health of her riders, and we also would like to extend our gratitude to her, and all of our drivers and aides, for their tireless dedication.
