We’re so proud of our amazing team at the Elmont facility! Today, we want to highlight two outstanding individuals: Yard Manager Julissa Amaro and newly appointed Safety Supervisor Willie Smith. Their quick thinking and compassion truly made a difference this week.
Julissa and Willie noticed one of our drivers, who has pre-existing health conditions, wasn’t looking well after his route. They immediately took action, ensuring he was safely transported to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with a lung infection. Thanks to their care, they likely saved many lives by preventing a potential incident.
Their actions are a perfect example of Beacon’s core values at work – putting people first.
